Has a discovery been Made?
J Lamper says that a discovery has been made in this investigation – see Schedule of Events.
31 August 2006 – note between J Lamper and Steve Coomber saying that it was not worth “prolonging the enquiry” or going back to earlier years, Lamper says that it’s best to “settle for what we had got” see the note here.
Clearly at this point the investigators felt there was little point in proceeding with the investagation. Neither Steve Coomber of Jacky Lamper had talked about discovery or attempted to use discovery powers (i.e. opening up earlier years).
December 6, 2006 – NM wrote to J Lamper asking if a discovery had been made on this case.
10 January 2007 – J Lamper replied, “I am unable to see where I have referred to discovery.” NM asked her to give a clear yes or no answer and elaborate. In a letter dated 15 February 2007 J Lamper attempts to explain but fails to give specific examples of where a discovery has been made.
24 January 2007 – J Lamper sent NM a Notice of Further Assessment for the year 2000 – 01. She needed to make a discovery to open this year.
